Meet LaShaun “Sah”
Jackson, CEO
LaShaun “Sah” Jackson is a dynamic civic leader known for visionary thinking, strategic execution, and a deep commitment to community and urban advancement. Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, his lived experience shapes a leadership approach grounded in service, equity, innovation, and opportunity. With more than 30 years of experience across social services and education, LaShaun has devoted his civic career to expanding pathways for youth and young adults through education, workforce readiness, mentorship, and life skills development. His work consistently bridges purpose with measurable impact.
Beyond public service, LaShaun is an entrepreneur and organizational consultant with over 20 years of experience in leadership development, team building, and executive coaching. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Good2Go Veggie, an innovative plant-based food company that blends health, sustainability, and social responsibility.
LaShaun holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in African American studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a master’s degree in counselor education from Northeastern Illinois University. A dedicated advocate for holistic wellness, he also holds advanced certifications in stress management and plant-based nutrition and has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.
He currently serves on the boards of the Chicago Loop Alliance, the Alternative Schools Network (Chicago), and Building Brighter Futures Center for the Arts, contributing leadership in governance, policy, and strategic initiatives that strengthen community well-being.
